One Team<\/strong>, thanks to the partnership with Leica Geosystems<\/strong><\/a>, is able to supply products and services in the matter of SCAN TO BIM, understood as the process of real data acquisition, using specific tools, to obtain the digital version of what exists, which will be then integrated in the BIM workflow.<\/p>


Point cloud<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

The acquisition of real data can be achieved using traditional technologies or thanks to innovative methodologies that marked a leap in the survey (?) world, achieving what is known as point cloud<\/strong>. How does it differ from the past? It pertains to the quantity of the data gathered: we are not talking about data but big data. This allows for a model in which the interdistance between points, in relation to the real object surveyed, is negligible, getting closer to the definition of continuous model<\/strong>. Only this type of survey, thanks to the density of the gathered points, allows for the observation of the cloud effect.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The methods for real data acquisition are mainly two: laser scanner<\/strong>, used primarily in matters concerning buildings, and aero photogrammetry<\/strong> by drone<\/strong>, ideal for land survey. Both the methodologies require specific tools depending on the type of object to survey, especially regarding buildings, where we find a number of laser scanners that vary in size of the element and acquisition method. From the point cloud to the BIM model<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once the real data has been acquired and the point cloud obtained, it is possible to manage it using specific software, among which we see Autodesk\u2019s RecapPro<\/strong><\/a>, included in the AEC Collection or purchasable by itself. Starting from the bulk of gathered information, which is geometrical and tridimensional, it is possible to use it to build the BIM from the existing, in its distinct parts and enriched by all the additional information needed to reach the desired level of detail.
